1. About Apprentos

Apprentos PBC ("Apprentos," "we," "us," or "our") operates a platform connecting employers with job seekers through registered apprenticeship programs. We also provide Professional Employer Organization (PEO) services, including payroll, benefits administration, and compliance management.

2. Who Can Use Apprentos

• Employers: Businesses and organizations seeking to hire apprentices must be legally authorized to operate and hire employees in their jurisdiction.
• Candidates: Job seekers must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum working age in their state, whichever is higher) and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Workforce Development Boards: Public workforce agencies partnering with Apprentos to deploy workforce development programs.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of our platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Candidates can access our platform at no cost. This includes:

• Creating a profile and completing assessments
• Applying to apprenticeship opportunities
• Receiving job matches and recommendations
• Accessing career support resources

Employment Relationship: If you are hired as an apprentice through our platform, you will become an employee of Apprentos PBC (as your employer of record) and will be subject to our employment policies and your apprenticeship agreement.

6. Assessments and Candidate Vetting

Our platform includes proprietary assessments to evaluate candidate skills and readiness. By taking our assessments, you agree that:

• You will complete assessments honestly and without assistance
• Assessment results may be shared with potential employers
• We may use assessment data to improve our platform (in aggregated, anonymized form)
• Assessment results are not a guarantee of employment

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to access accounts or data that don't belong to you
• Scrape, data mine, or use automated tools to extract data from our platform
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation
• Post discriminatory job listings or engage in discriminatory hiring practices

8. Intellectual Property

The Apprentos platform, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Apprentos PBC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content: You retain ownership of any content you submit to our platform (resumes, profiles, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it as necessary to provide our services.

9. Privacy and Data

Your use of Apprentos is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect, use, and protect your data as described in that policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apprentos shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Apprentos, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our platform or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to our platform at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@apprentos.com.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
